Usagi Tuskino and her fellow Sailor Senshi may be some of
the most glamorous Magical Girls in all of Anime but some of the Monsters and major
Villains they face off with aren’t slouches either. For every fang bearing demon from Hell, there’s
a gorgeous as all get out deceptress who can more than easily tempt any soul to
the dark side. With Halloween just
around the corner, this weeks Top 5 Wednesday is looking at the alluring
Witches, Temptresses and Sirens who can haunt our dreams any time of day from the
wide world of Sailor Moon. These are the
Top 5 Hottest Sailor Moon Villainesses.
Like many groups of baddies in Sailor Moon, Aluminum
Siren and Lead Crow come as a packaged deal, can’t talk about one without the
other. Despite their being sort of
rivals for Sailor Galaxia’s favor, these two have one of the more healthier friendships
amongst Sailor Moons rogues gallery, to the point where it’s perfectly fine to
wonder if they’re bond goes deeper than that.
And like most of Galaxia’s other evil Senshi, they look damn good in costume,
I dare say even surpassing the beauty of their overarching ruler herself.
Of the four Spectre Sisters that the Senshi battle early
on in Season Two, Koan’s my favorite.
Her fashion sense speaks volumes, especially her form fitting Villainess
attire. But I love her rivalry with my
personal favorite Senshi, Sailor Mars. Their
heated (no pun intended) back and forth is one of the most entertaining parts
of the Season and results in the beginning of a well done series of redemption
arcs for Koan and the rest of her dark siblings. But damn if she isn’t having fun as a cutely
dressed bad girl.
#3-Kaolinite (Sailor Moon S)
Sailor Moon S isn’t lacking in attractive bad girls,
especially my personal fav Eudial. When
it comes to overall looks, Kaolinite is the hottest villainess secretary of the
bunch. Usually rocking a mini dress that
shows off her legs for days and a long lab coat, Kaolinite is equal parts
intelligence and deadly efficiency. Her power
alone makes her one of the most formidable adversaries of both the Inner and
Outer Senshi for most of the season. Not
to mention her devotion to Professor Tomoe is so intense God forbid you try to
ruin his plans of Kaolinite will make sure you never do it again.
The first and arguably most quintessential bad girl in
all of Sailor Moon, Queen Beryl is an icon of the entire franchise for many
reasons. She’s a classic evil Queen straight
out of a Fairy Tale with malevolence for days and an outfit that shows off all
the right curves in all the right places.
Beryl is the kind of woman who could get anything she wanted just on
looks and voice alone. But she’s hardly the
type to let anyone off the hook that easily, favoring more destructive means of
achieving her goals. Still, she was the
first big threat Sailor Moon and the Senshi ever faced and we’re still bowing
to her with respect (and fear) today.
While she first appeared in the worst season of the
original series, Nehelenia was the best part of SuperS. She’s basically a mirror/shadow version of
Usagi: a princess who had all of her qualities but was never as beloved as
Princess Serenity and was thus corrupted by her own jealously. Nehelenia is so alluring in her appearance,
demonic yet beautiful and enthralling. I’m
so glad that Sailor Stars sought to give Nehelenia the proper reverence and
fleshing out she deserved when SuperS only decided to really bring her onto the
board in the last few episodes. Hers is
a soul you kind of want to save…or join if you really just want to net the
heart of a bad girl like Queen Nehelenia.
