GBT#23-Gunpla Builder Randomizer Part 3

For today’s Gunpla Builder Randomizer episode, I’m keeping it less random and more intentional.  These four entries today are some of my all time favs due to personal connection and how much fun and satisfaction I got out of building them.  Speaking of which, the first one on this list is a doozy, the biggest and most complex Gunpla I’ve built to date…and it isnt even a Master or Perfect Grade.

RX-104FF Penelope
The Penelope is the result of a Fixed Flight Unit and several armaments equipped and encased around the RX-104 Odysseus Gundam.  This not only increases its overall size exponentially but makes it even more of a fighting Mobile Fortress.  The Penelope was deployed in UC0105 against the anti Earth terrorist group Mafty where it’s pilot, Lane Aim, clashed with Mafty leader Hathaway Noa and his RX-105 Xi Gundam, a fight which ended with the Penelope disabled and Hathaway victorious.

ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam
The Mighty Strike Freedom is a combination of the Strike Freedom Gundam Type II and a special attachment, the Proud Defender support craft.  Once attached, the Strike Freedom’s power increases exponentially, granting it more powerful beam sabers and cannons, along with increased mobility and reaction time.  It also comes with a special Katana.  Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne together piloted this Gundam in order to defeat the Kingdom of Foundation, along with its leader Orphee Lam Tao.

System-99 Gundam
Unearthed by the Inglessa Militia during the early days of the Invasion of the Moonrace, the Turn A Gundam is an ancient Mobile Suit of tremendous power.  Said power can be seen in it’s Moonlight Butterfly weapon that supposedly is so dangerous it nearly annihilated the Human Race over a millenia prior to CC 2345.  Despite this, Loran Cehak pilots the Gundam as the figurehead of the Resistance.

GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir Gundam
Following the end of the First Bloody Valentine War, the Earth Alliance began expanding it’s Mobile Suit development, particularly with new Gundam type Mobile Suits.  One such suit is the Strike Noir, an updated variant of the original Strike Gundam. The suit was piloted by Phantom Pain’s Sven Cal Bayang.  Despite it’s impressive capabilities and his skills, Sven and the Strike Noir were ultimately defeated in battle by the Selene McGriff and the GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam, though Sven did survive.

And that’s it for the Randomizer.  But wait there’s one more episode to go in this Third Season of Gunpla Builder Thursday.  Well I have an idea for that, a fun little thing I did a couple summers ago that I think everyone might enjoy.  Find out what that is Next Thursday during the Season Finale of Gunpla Builder Thursday right here at the Gundam Anime Corner.
