The second season of Netflix’s Live Action One Piece (aka
Into the Grand Line) dropped last week.
My review of it is still a couple weeks away but one thing I could not
wait to talk about it regards to the new season is its hotness factor when it
comes to bringing some of the most legendary beauties in Anime to life. Netflix has done a pretty solid job with its
casting in the show and the five ladies we’ll de discussing today on Top 5
Wednesday are just as capable of stealing hearts as they are all of your hard
earned cash. These are the Top 5 Hottest
Ladies in Netflix’s One Piece. There may
be some MINOR SPOILERS ahead for Season 2 since most of this list is comprised
of Season 2 characters but I’ll keep things as minimal as possible.
Tashigi is the perfect nerd level crush not just because
of her cute haircut and glasses (or that cute celebratory dance).
The girl knows and loves her swords like a
chef knows food or a pirate knows their treasures.
Tashigi is a vast encyclopedia of information
on the preferred weapon of the high seas.
Not only that, she can actually use one as we see in one of the seasons impressive
fight scenes (and with her jacket idk it’s giving me Highlander vibes).
Tashigi has quickly become another awesome character
with a dream you really wanna root for, even if it means she’ll have to face
Zoro eventually to achieve it.
#4-Dr. Kureha
NGL the way this character is first presented, I swear
she could also be Granny Seiko from DandaDan.
But nope, this mature and bad ass vixen who practices medicine is Dr.
Kureha.
She tells it like it is, can
heal just about anything that can be healed AND she’s a snappy dresser to
boot.
It also helps that she’s played by
the still incredibly sexy Katy Segal (Sons of Anarchy, Futurama).
Her bedside manner isnt for everyone but I
still say she’s a Doctor worth a scrape or two to continue seeing on a regular
basis.
#3-Miss Wednesday aka Princess Vivi
Vivi gives off instant Princess Jasmine vibes with her exotic
beauty and friendly attitude.
Being the Princess
of a Grand Line kingdom, Vivi can seem like a very refined lady.
Underneath the nice though, lies the heart of
a warrior and a leader who is fiercely loyal to her people and her cause.
It’s no wonder she gets along with the Straw
Hats so well.
It’s pretty easy to
instantly crush on Vivi but don’t forget her more nefarious side when we first
meet her.
That confidence, that sass and
that hot as hell dance she uses to incapacitate Luffy cannot be ignored.
#2-Miss All Sunday aka Nico Robin
Next to Tony Tony Chopper, this was the character One
Piece fans were waiting for after the Live Action series was announced.
And she does not disappoint.
While her screentime is minimal, it’s easy to
see why Robin is so revered in Otaku circles and it’s translated perfectly to
Live Action.
That accent, those eyes,
that style, that allure, that creepy multiple arm attack she uses in her intro
scene.
Everytime you see Robin, you want
more of her.
And it’s for that reason
alone she lands at Number 2 on this list.
I know she’ll be back with a much bigger role in Season 3 and that could
jump her to the #1 spot.
For now, that
honor goes to…
#1-Nami
Jeez the casting on this show is amazing with all of
these amazing ladies.
But Emily Rudd as
Nami stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Her Nami stole our hearts in her very first scene and has continued to
do so as easily as she steals loot from a hapless passing mark.
Her determination, her loyalty and even her
more sensitive moments are incredible and like the rest of the Straw Hat crew,
she’s worth dropping everything in a heartbeat to help.
Also that bikini moment broke the internet
for a reason, wow.
