This Friday, the galaxy’s most loveable bunch of A-Holes
returns for one last adventure with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. With the Marvel Cinematic Universe
celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary this year…yikes, that thought just
occurred to me, it strikes me as odd that it hasn’t taken the chance to do some
sort of Anime tie in. Yeah Marvel had
that slew of Anime projects in the early 2010’s but none of those took place in
the MCU. I’m just saying, if Star Wars
can tap into the power of Anime with Star Wars: Visions, there’s no reason
Marvel cant do the same for its cinematic universe. At the very least, it’s fun to think of ways
their heroes can cross over into Anime and there’s no better setting than the
Anime that does heroes sometimes better than Marvel (and definitely DC): My
Hero Academia. The brightest minds, the
noblest of warriors and the ultimate fanboys and fan girls could fit right in
with Class 1-A and the shenanigans they get up to. So on today’s Top 5 Wednesday, I’m counting
down the Top 5 MCU Heroes Who Should Visit My Hero Academia.
It’s well documented that most Heroes have their own
agencies that handle everything from PR to hiring sidekicks. And while I’m sure there is a legal side for
many of these agencies, we haven’t seen much of the judicial system of My Hero
Academia outside of super law enforcement.
It’d be a fun avenue to explore and, since she’s an expert on Super Hero
Law, Jennifer Walters would be the go to candidate to study under. Not only is she an amazing lawyer with a ton
of wit and heart, but she also happens to be cousins with one of the most
powerful heroes in the MCU. Which means
She Hulk could make MHA courtroom cases pretty entertaining. And if she wanted to come over to UA for a
special lecture, I’d like to see her test the toughness of young Heroes in
training like Kirishima or Tetsutetsu
We’ve seen all throughout My Hero Academia that Quirks
can manifest in anyone and change their physical appearances as a result. Some even appear with Animal Like features such
as Pro Hero Gang Orca looking like a Killer Whale and has the power set to
match. Rocket Raccoon might notve been
Human to begin with but the augmentations he possesses give him the edge to
keep up with even the toughest heroes in the MCU and he has the attitude to
match. Plus, he can mix and match
agility and intelligence with expertise in Hand to Hand combat and
weapons. It’d be fun to see Rocket trying
to teach a class at UA and just being rude and ill tempered, especially if he’s
around someone as equally hot headed as say, Bakugo.
While she may have just recently inherited the mantle of
Black Panther, Shuri’s top superpower is her superior intellect. She’s one of the smartest people in the MCU,
able to figure out solutions to problems that even stump Tony Stark or Bruce
Banner. In the first Black Panther film,
she provided the updated costume and gadgets to her brother as if she were his equivalent
of Q from the James Bond series. Since UA
has courses dedicated to Support, Shuri could definitely provide some ideas to
better protect Heroes in the field and enhance their effectiveness in
battle. One character at UA Shuri would find
a fan in is the every hyperactive Mei Hatsume, who probably cant wait to pick
Shuri’s brain or show off her latest invention…which hopefully doesn’t literally
blow up in Shuri’s face.
Ok, so if you really want someone from the MCU who’s power
level is on par with All Might, you’d probably pick Captain Marvel. However, Steve Rogers has long been the
shared heart and soul of the MCU (alongside Tony Stark) and he embodies
everything that makes All Might, All Might.
Brave. Selfless. Undeterred. Steve never backs down from a challenge no
matter how insurmountable. The second he
shows up on the field, you feel hope against the darkness, just like All
Might. And while all of that is truly what
makes Captain America so great…really this is another excuse to see an MCU Hero
interact with Bakugo. Dear God, Steve
would be ready to burst a blood vessel calling Great Explosion Murder God
Dynamight on his constant use of profanity and death threats. But yeah I also think he’d get along fine
with All Might too and not just because of their taste in superhero costumes.
If the MCU was going to send in an exchange student to
study at UA, you better freaking believe Kamala Kahn would be the top candidate
to send in. Kamala is one of the newest
and youngest faces in the MCU but she’s also the one with the greatest of
potentials. While she’s already proven
she’s a hero in her own right, Kamala still has a lot to learn but why does it
have to be just from the MCU side?
Imagine what Aizawa or Pro Heroes like Mt. Lady could teach her,
especially the latter since Kamala’s “embiggen” powers have the potential to
give her that kind of height. Best of
all, I think she and Deku would instantly become fast friends. They could geek out over their heroic idols
and Kamala is probably the only person who could keep up with Deku’s rapid fire
breakdown of Super Hero stats and strategy.
It’s a match made in heaven…does that mean she’d be another rival for
Uraraka then?
