Slayers 30th Anniversary Celebration Announcement

Way back in 2019 (well starting with Season 1 in mid 2018), I took on the epic challenge of reviewing every season of the legendary Fantasy Action Comedy: Slayers.  Back then, I only had the entire series plus the very first movie to look at and I’d hoped beyond hope I’d find the remainder of the films and OVAs in time to make it for the year long project.  Obviously, that didn’t happen.  However, this year, I finally found them.  Thanks to a dearly departed friend which this upcoming event is partly dedicated to, I managed to do something I thought impossible years ago.  And after accomplishing that…the inevitable was set in motion.

I’m happy to announce that the month of December will be (mostly) centered on the remaining Slayers titles I have yet to review here at the Gundam Anime Corner.  This includes the remaining 4 movies: Slayers Return, Slayers Great, Slayers Gorgeous and Slayers Premium, and the 2 OVAs: Slayers Special and Slayers Excellent.  That’s six tales…well ten if you factor in that both OVAs are 3 self contained episodes each, of Lina and Naga kicking magical ass as well as each others while search for treasure and a bite to eat.  I cant tell you how hyped I am to finally get to these features I’ve waited years to see.  

And again, could not have done this had it not been for Collector Corners Owner, Randy, who pointed me towards these finds in the first place.  So yeah, as I said, this little Slayers event is a big thank you to him in his honor.

 
Buuuuut since we’re talking about December, it wont be all fun and games with the Slayers.  I’ve got something special planned for my annual Christmas review.  Wont say what it is (and those of you who I have shared this intel with, don’t spoil it).  I will say that now that it’s fully dropped on Amazon Prime, I will be doing a Full Season Review of Hazbin Hotel (Season 2), that’ll be dropping on New Years Eve before we kick off 2026 with a bang.  

Hope you’re all ready for some Lina Inverse mayhem with a side of Naga the Serpent chaos.  It all kicks off Monday December 1^st with Slayers Return right here at the Gundam Anime Corner.
