On a whim, I got Tekken 8 during its launch weekend back
in January. I haven’t played Tekken in ages
but am well aware of its popularity and its rich cast of bad ass fighters from
around the world. Not to mention, Tekken
has had its share of appearances here at the Gundam Anime Corner in both Anime
and Live Action features. I’ve been
having a blast with Tekken 8 with the combat, post game content and all the
customization and I wanted to talk a bit about it today. Specifically I wanted to focus on the nice
collection of femme fatales to grace this title and whose beauty and figures
give the girls of Dead or Alive a run for their money. So to close out the month of Love and Romance,
aka February, I’m showing my appreciation for the Top 5 Hottest Female Fighters
in Tekken 8 on todays Top 5 Wednesday.
This lovely French heiress might come off as stuck up and
pompus…and she is.
But Lili’s heart is
in the right place as she aids Jin Kazama and his allies in their fight against
Kazuya Mishima.
And don’t let the drop
dead gorgeous outfit fool you.
Beneath
that sexy exterior beats the heart of a warrior and Lili is more than ready to
show off just how efficient and powerful she really is.
She’s one of my favorite characters to play
with in the entire game, just a hard hitting Lolita powerhouse (speaking off,
we need a Tekken/DOA style Lolita fighting game).
#4-Nina
Nina has been with Tekken since the very beginning and is
one of only a handful of characters to appear in every single mainline
title. And honestly, can you blame Bandai
Namco for constantly bringing her back.
Nina is up there with Chun Li, Cammy, Kitana and Sonya Blade as one of
the hottest Fighting Video Game Characters of all time. Her appearance in Tekken 8 only reinforces
that legacy with Nina’s wardrobe continuing to remind players that she’s got
the style of an accomplished seductress and the fighting skills that could break
the mightiest of fighters. Not sure if
Tekken 8 has Nina’s hottest look in the franchise but it’s also Nina Williams,
she cant not appear on a list like this.
#3-Xiaoyu
God this girls cuteness knows no bounds.
Not only is Xiaoyu a Chinese Goddess whose
figure is show off nicely in all of her outfits, she’s also a very dedicated
and loyal friend. The girl goes out of her way big time to help the love of her
life, Jin Kazama, accomplish his mission (and for once, Jin actually kind of
reciprocates Xiaoyu’s feelings so cudos to Tekken 8 for not ignoring this relationship).
Xiaoyu is just as much wife material for a
Kazama/Mishima as Jin’s Mama, Jun.
I
mean not many could go toe to toe with an army of ginormous Jack robots and look
so damn good doing so.
Wondering if we’ll
see Xiaoyu and Jin in a more fully romantic relationship in Tekken 9…or if we
have a time skip maybe another little Kazama might come of it?
#2-Zafina
This Middle Eastern Goddess had me from the moment I first
saw her character design in Tekken 7.
And while I don’t think her look in 8 is as mind blowingly hot, Zafina
is still one of the sexiest fighters in the genre.
She was one of the first characters I tried
out in Tekken 8 and I love her unique fighting style that has her moving around
like a spider while also employing a special leg focused style that sees her
balancing herself in those impossible high heels for deadly strikes.
Zafina is the perfect kind of exotic goodness
Tekken has shown us in the past with favorites like Christie Monterio and I hope
she comes back for more action in Tekken 9 and beyond.
#1-Reina
Talk about making one helluva first impression.
I’ve had my eyes on Reina from the moment she
was announced.
It shouldn’t be a
surprise what her importance to the overall narrative is cause Namco made it
very clear but I wont spoil anything (but come on it’s obvious).
Reina’s cute face and rather sexy main outfit
had me fall for her instantly but even better than that, she’s so much fun to
play.
Reina comes into the franchise
like a wrecking ball with her powerful strikes that can lay out anyone and her
confidence is well deserved.
She’s def
poised to be a major player in later installments and if it’s on the side of
evil…might be time for a further walk on the dark side for this astounding
beauty.
