Well I guess it was inevitable but hey I’m not
complaining. A 4th My Hero
Academia movie is on the way…and that’s all that can kind of be said about that
at the moment. Besides the announcement,
all that’s been shown is an image of Deku during his rogue solo hero stage. Could this mean the new movie might take
place during Season 6? Tough to say but
it’d be hard to fit any kind of extra feature length tale into a season as jam
packed as My Hero Academia’s most recent outing. After two years of build up, War erupted
between Heroes and Villains and it changed the world of Deku and his classmates
forever. And man did it work. It’s not that My Hero Academia hasn’t been
good but I feel like the high point is still Season 3 for me and Season 6 felt like
the best one since. Well with the new
movie due out eventually, let me take you back a few months to the season that
changed everything and talk about the Top 5 Best Moments from My Hero Academia
Season 6.
When the Heroes launched into action against the
Paranormal Liberation Front, one particular femme fatale was one of the main
vanguards. Unlike the introduction of
some heroines of the past, Mirko actually lived up to the hype and man did she
come in like a force of nature. This
super stacked rabbit powered heroine ripped through Nomu’s like tearing through
tissue paper. And when the going got
tough, Mirko never lost her trademark grin of pure delight. The girl got and arm and leg crushed and she
was still giving 110 percent in battle.
It’s no wonder Mirko’s become a popular cosplay character cause she’s
the full package bad ass deadly beauty My Hero Academia’s been waiting for.
Season 5 ended with Shiguraki gaining an entire army as
he took command to the Paranormal Liberation Front, adding the League of Villains
to the mix. But after being subjected to
many months of testing, one of My Hero Academia’s big bads returned stronger
and scarier than ever. In an instant,
Shiguraki turned the tables on the Heroes, turning near victory into
devastating defeat. Shiguraki’s powers
have been enhanced to the point where he pulled a total Akira/Testuo and
leveled an entire city in seconds thanks to his ability to disintegrate
anything he touches. The was the worst
case scenario before the real worst case scenario came to be (more on that
later). Shiguraki was back with a
vengeance and even the full power of pros like Gran Torino and Endeavor
couldn’t put him down for good. At this
point, Deku will have to pull out a miracle to stop him for good.
#3-Hawks Kills Twice
I’ll be honest, I’ve never liked Hawks. Something about his attitude seemed like he
knew far more than anyone else in the room and he’s always kind of throwing it
in others faces in his own way. And yeah
I know he was deep, deep undercover trying to bring down Shiguraki’s plot but
still, I don’t like him. And then he
does the unthinkable by killing one of My Hero Academia’s fan favorite
characters. Poor Twice. He was a psychologically broken man who was
truly grateful he’d found a family with Shiguraki’s crew, especially with
Toga. It was this dedication that pushed
him to unleash his full potential and man it was scary. Honestly, I don’t care if its for “the
greater good” that Hawks had to take him out, he still did Twice in and I cant
imagine anyone was happy with it. So
when Dabi kicks the crap out of him in retaliation, I was fine with that. We’ll miss ya Twice, easily one of the best
villains in My Hero Academia.
Ever since his first appearance in the series, fans began
to speculate that the burnt skinned Dabi was somehow related to our half
fire/half ice favorite, Shoto Torodoki.
Even if it was a reveal you saw coming a mile away, it was one the show
was never gonna let you forget, or rather Dabi wasn’t gonna let you
forget. The normally calm and detached
fire villain went full mad psycho as he not only revealed all the dirty laundry
about the atrocities heroes like Hawks committed to stop the Paranormal
Liberation Front, he also laid out the entire history of abuse he and his
siblings had suffered thanks to their father, Endeavor. This was Dabi’s golden hour to finally let
out every bit of crazed frustration he’d been holding in for years. And for icing on the cake, being faced with
every single mistake he’d made coming back to haunt him, Endeavor could do
nothing but fall to his knees and nearly cry.
It’s not juts a powerful scene for Dabi, this is the moment where it
became clear that the Villains had won this battle…and maybe even the war.
When Deku goes rogue in the second half of Season 6, he
slowly cuts ties with everyone: his classmates, his family, even All
Might. He sees it as his and his
responsibility alone to take care of Shiguraki and All For One and the weight
of Shiguraki’s attack is a burden that is slowly tearing him apart. Deku is so stuck in his own head he forgets
his classmates love him and we get a fun and emotional sequence where he faces
all of Class 1-A, everyone now aware of Deku’s One For All secret. The real kicker? Bakugo once again shows true character growth
by being the voice of reason to bring Deku back by doing the one thing I don’t
think anyone thought he’d ever do: He apologizes to Deku for being such an ass to
him all their lives. He always knew that
despite his initial lack of Quirk, Deku was gonna keep up with him and maybe
even surpass him. This is a game
changing moment here, as great as any this season. I’m sure Bakugo’s attitude isn’t gonna change
(and it shouldn’t). But it was here he
truly accepted Deku as a friend and assured him that if Deku’s gonna pull this
kind of solo crap, he’s gonna either bring him back himself or lead the charge
to beat some sense into him and then bring him home.
