Katsucon Week Announcement

Hey there Dear Readers,

If you follow me on Instagram (@arschelgundam87), then you know that back at the beginning of January I made the tough decision to sit out this years Katsucon.  At the time, the Omicron Variant of the Covid-19 Virus was on the rise and I’m not certain large conventions are a good idea for me right now.  I know plenty of people who are still going (and also went to Magfest as well) and I wish that they have the best time.  I’m glad they get to have a Katsucon again and I hope in 2023 I can enjoy being back in the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center too.  For this year however, that wont be happening.  I’ve made peace with that decision…but it still sucks…like a lot.

So, Next Week, to honor the con I wont be attending, I’m holding a Katsucon Week Special.  All week you’ll be getting bonus reviews, a Special Top 5 Wednesday and an extended episode of Toonami Flashback Friday before it goes on a two week hiatus.  Since Monday is Valentine’s Day, it’s a double dose of romance with the conclusion of Say, I Love You, followed by a Special Premiere Review of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.  Tuesday through Thursday will see the Full Series Coverage of BNA: Brand New Animal.  And then I have some odds and ends reviews I’ve had saved for fill in occasions ready for Friday-Sunday (Bunny Girl Senpai’s second review wont be up til the following Monday instead of Friday).
 

Call it me coping.  Call it me just wanting to do something nice for anyone else sitting out this years festivities.  This is what I wanted to do and I hope it cheers some people up or gives someone at Katsu something to read in their downtime.  Katsucon Week starts Valentines Day Monday, right here at the Gundam Anime Corner.
